Many of you will have spotted that there is a new online bookshop on the block. Bookshop.org went live last Monday with a mission to support independent local bookshops. It’s not a substitute for buying from your own local independent, depending on where you live that can currently be via ‘real’ shopping, click & collect or online. However, for people like me who don’t live near an independent bookshop this looks like a great deal for book buyers wanting to move away from Amazon and a great deal for those independent bookshops that are part of the scheme.
